Oh how I wish I could see your faces as you read that title. :D
Allow me to explain. A dear friend who is a pastor in Bungoma, Kenya, Africa once taught my church to say "bwana asifewe" which is the Swhaili phrase for "Praise the Lord". He then explained the easiest way for an American to say this, or remember it is, "Bananas on the freeway!"
With that being said, BANANAS ON THE FREEWAY FOR I HAVE $760 TOWARDS MY PHILIPPINES TRIP! :D
After returning from a short vacation to visit family this weekend, I learned that I received $500 from someone anonymously! My dad had done some work for a client, for free, but they felt compelled to pay regardless. He didn't want to take the money so the client said to give it to me. I have no idea who this person is, but I am extremely blessed by their generosity! And I received my monthly support today which was an amazing $260! Hallelujah!
So, bananas on the freeway for $760 in a week!
Sadly, one can imagine when bananas are on the freeway there is bound to be trouble. Especially when playing Mario Kart. My laptop-which is my life line next to coffee-is dying.
With that being said, I have found another laptop that would actually suit me better especially with all the traveling I do as a missionary. The cost is approximately $800.
So dear readers, as Mario is skidding into the grass ready to fire at Bowser, who is zooming by after throwing a banana in front of Mario, I am trusting in the Lord for the funds necessary for this trip and a new computer for work.
Thank you for your prayers and continued support. Please help me make the dream of going to the Philippines a reality, as well as helping me raise money for a new computer. Bwana asifewe (Bananas on the freeway)!
Total funds needed: $2,240
Much Love!
Saint
