This is it. I'm FINALLY going.
Towards the end of November, I will be back on a plane-my home away from home these days. (Thus is the life of a full-time missionary. I love it!) Once again, I will be traveling the world. But this time, it will be a new territory, a new country, one I have been dying to visit for a long, long, loooong time...
Eight years ago, I met Pastor Jerome Ocampo who started the Jesus Revolution, a non-profit organization with one goal in mind: To birth one of the greatest revivals of the Christian faith by uniting the older generation with the younger one. On November 30, 2011, the largest youth gathering in Asia will take place as 8,000 youth unite their faiths, their hearts, their cries to the Heavenly Father for a revolution. It is the 10th anniversary of JRev [abbreviation for Jesus Revolution], and many from all over the world have been called to celebrate, to cry out, lift up hands and hearts in praise, and wait for God to move in a mighty way as only He can do.
And guess who was personally asked by Pr. Jerome, co-founder of JRev, to join in these festivities?
For eight long years, I have waited for the Lord to open the door and let me go to the Philippines.
For eight years, I have desperately wanted to be apart of JRev whether it was as an intern, an intercessor, a mentor, or even a janitor.
I didn't care what they would ask me to do. I want to go serve and love these people.
I want to learn how to love my God as they love Him.
I want to learn how to worship and to press into the raw presence of God as they do.
Eight years later, November 30, 2011, the door has swung wide open by God himself.
Something great is waiting for me there, I can feel it...
In order to embark on what I believe to be the greatest adventure of my life thus far, yes even surpassing both India trips (I first went in September 2010, and returned in May 2011), I will need to raise a total of $2,300. This will cover my airfare, food and housing, Hep B and Typhoid vaccinations, Malaria meds, transportation, conference fees, visa fees, extra expenses, and emergency funds.
Any and all donations are welcomed! Even if they are as small as $1 or as great as the full $2,300. All funds will go directly to this trip. Please pay only by cash or check. If you are writing a check please make it out to "Lauren Patton." If you would like a tax-deductible receipt you may send the money to me through YWAM Las Vegas. If you send a check to YWAM Vegas DO NOT WRITE MY NAME ON THE CHECK-this will counteract the tax-deductible. If you would like to receive a monthly newsletter [via snail mail] or a YWAM envelope so you can receive a tax write off receipt, please email me: nerdieblonde@gmail.com
Please know that this is a personal missions trip and has NOTHING to do with my work in YWAM Vegas or my church.

I need to raise the $1,200 by September 30, 2011.
I need to purchase my plane ticket ASAP. The remaining $1,100 is needed by October 13, 2011.
If you cannot financially support me, prayers are always needed and welcomed!
God bless you all, please help me make this dream a reality!
Sincerely Yours,
Saint
