Tucking away the red paper heart, the shadow stares up at the billboard advertising Coyote Ugly Bar.
The girl is, of course, practically naked with a tiny bikini top and the shortest shorts she has ever seen.
Shadow grabs the sides of her green hoodie closer around her body, chills run up and down her spine.
This girl is far too skinny, far too anorexic, her body is almost medically an impossibility.
And more than likely, as thin as this beautiful girl appears, she is not thin enough, she has been airbrushed.
As have most of the beautiful women on these thousands of billboards which grace the Strip.
So what is the point? If you are not thin enough, though you eat nothing, work out strenuously, and then starve yourself and become anorexic, also while being covered in makeup and beauty products, then what is the point?
Someone, anyone, please share!
Tears well up in the shadow's dark green, piercing eyes as she stares into the souls of those young girls who stare at this false beauty with her.
These girls so desperately want to be like this imaginary figure which does not exist in the real world.
Photoshop world? Yes. Reality we all live and breathe in? No.
The tears fall scorning ivory skin, the once piercing eyes have changed to a deep oceanic blue, full of compassion and love for these misguided, yet all still beautiful girls.
Who was the one who defined this monster as beauty in the first place?
Who was the one who decided unless you are nothing but skin and bones, as a girl, you are not worthy, you are not beautiful, and you cannot be loved.
Who is responsible for the millions of girls all around the world with eating disorders which lead them to health issues, hospital visits, IV's for nutrients, and in some cases death?
Who are the murderers who decide what true beauty should be defined as?
The shadow shakes her head softly as she turns away, far too many young girls have believed this lie.
Far too many girls, and guys alike, have never felt good enough or beautiful or handsome at all.
The Shadow in the dark green hoodie glances over her shoulder one last time, tears continue to fall.
How many more have fallen, like she had for the longest time, into the traps of lies that they had allowed to become their false reality?
But more importantly, how does one convince them that they are living in such a false reality?
Sincerely Yours,
Sin City Saint

If a model cannot be beautiful enough without alterations, how can a normal person be?
And yet, we still dare to call this reality.
